I listen, and I forget
I see, and I remember
I do, and I understand

Pumpkin Pond Farm

The Installation at Pumpkin Pond Farm is inspired by unanticipated discovery. When walking through the woods or on a city street, a person may look to one side or another and notice something – something he or she may have otherwise overlooked. These moments of discovery create intimate spaces, and memorable moments. Glass is at once changing (reflecting its environment as the light shifts) and a stable, grounded medium. Rather a vertical ascent to the sky, the sculpture flows along the ground, capturing the light, and bringing it down to earth, unifying sunlight and gravity.

The sandbox was an entirely interactive experiment. The glass shapes and lights were left on the side of the sandbox and the audience was asked to create their own work of art. The sandbox theme invited everyone to come and play at any time of day or night.
