Painting: Blacknuss



Since nothing is as it ought to be and the only certainty is uncertainty, the work I have selected to exhibit is a casual look at possibility. I have focused on two dimensions using a variety of mediums with a variety of visual thoughts.

Before, what I call the Corona Era, I became interested in the Morse Code. I have created a piece of work called Blacknuss. The title is a tribute to Rahsaan Roland Kirk’s 1972 composition.

My artwork celebrates the Morse Code which was used to save lives and transmit strategic information until the Internet supplanted its usefulness. In keeping with the spirit and intention of how the Morse Code was used, each of 16, 8" x 8" panels, represents a letter of the message:
